With the government’s new roadmap to reduce the lockdown restrictions starting this week, we will soon have more freedom to choose how we exercise.

From the end of this month, sports and exercise facilities will reopen and provide us with alternative ways of exercising. From the 29th March, outdoor sports facilities such as outdoor gyms, golf courses and basketball and tennis courts will reopen. Organised sports will also restart. From the 12th April, indoor gyms will reopen so we can get back to that classic training environment.

With the easing of these restrictions, this provides us with alternative ways to exercise and to once again mix with different people. However, after one year of lockdowns and staying at home, many people may prefer to train alone. Will you go back to your exercise classes and training with your gym buddy, or will you continue with your home workouts and personal development programmes?

At Connect Activity we have looked at the pro’s and con’s of both training alone and with others, what is your preference?

Whether you choose to train alone or with others, it is all about the work you are willing to put in. You can still achieve your training goals, regardless of which training method you choose.

Leave us a comment and let us know how you prefer to train, or what you find helps you best to get the most out of your sessions.

By joining our network you can connect with other personal trainers, sports organisations and people who are just enthusiastic about sports, fitness and wellbeing. You can connect and ask them to train you, or just discuss exercise and get some advice.

If you are a personal trainer or sports organisation, then we can feature you within one of our “In the Spotlight” blog posts. We will promote your work, showcase your images and share your website and social media links. Email us at [email protected] if you would like to feature, or you can contact us via social media.
