It is that time of the year when we are working towards the promise we made to ourselves. We say that we will get fitter and lose weight, trying to prove that we can stick to a new years resolution. Unfortunately, many of us find numerous reasons not to stick to our goals and we end up giving up way too early. One way that may help is by hiring a personal trainer.
There can be multiple factors that stop us from sticking to the goals we set. Some reasons can be very genuine and force us into stopping such as health issues or a change in personal circumstances.
However, a common factor for not achieving our goals is because we do not see the results we had hoped for and we lose motivation, or just simply Veganuary and dry January is over.
Key reasons for this can be down to a lack of training knowledge, understanding what exercises we need to do and recognising our body type. We stick to the basics of running on the treadmill for an hour, or doing 3 reps of the heaviest weight we can find, thinking it will make us stronger and leaner.
A combination of doing the same exercises every session and not seeing the results we had hoped for, cause us not to enjoy our workouts and become demotivated.
At Connect Activity, we believe that using a personal trainer to support with achieving training goals is vital. For the people who have taken up exercise for the first time during the pandemic, this could be the best decision you make this year.
Hiring a personal trainer will automatically increase our chances of success. They will listen to what we want to achieve, recognise our individual needs and will ensure we are working towards an appropriate plan.
A personal trainer will improve our cardiovascular fitness, develop our body shape and help us reach a healthy weight. They will also provide us with a food plan that will be tailored to our exercise goals and dietary requirements.
Hiring a personal trainer and using a personalised training programme, executing the correct techniques (safe training) and being encouraged to remain focused, will keep us motivated and inevitably deliver positive results.
No pandemic and national lockdown will stop them from supporting us, as they can be just as motivational through a virtual training session.
We would also recommend using a trainer for all other sports and disciplines. If your aim is to improve your technique and performance to be more successful, then this could give you that extra edge over the competition.
If you are looking for support with your training goals, then we can help to connect you with one of the expert trainers within our network.
Any trainers who want to use our networks for promotion, we can feature you in one of our next “In the spotlight” blog posts. We will also spread the word via social media.
